We are timeless creatures, made for eternity and with great worth to God—whether we realize it or not. Sometimes, because of struggle and shame, we fail to experience ourselves in light of these truths. It is time to lift your eyes.

Focus

NLT Genesis 1:27: “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

We display something of God. This means we bear great dignity. We find wholeness when we live out our image-bearing. When our true image is embraced, we flourish, because it is the beautiful image of God that defines us.

That image is yours, even when you struggle to believe it! Furthermore, as a Christian, your security is rooted in Christ, not your struggle, based on his forgiveness, not your failure. Come as you are to the throne of grace.

Take 2-3 minutes and journal what you imagined your day would look like if you believed today’s truth. Engage your day, knowing that no matter how broken you have felt, you image a mighty God.
